An autonomous hosting operating system, not another dashboard.
xPanel is built and run by ScodyX for ScodyX's own fleet first. That means the roadmap is driven by real provider needs — running sites, mail, databases and thousands of servers — rather than by what looks good in a demo. It manages the day-to-day of hosting and, underneath that, treats every server as declared state that should be continuously reconciled, with evidence kept for everything it does.
Built for the fleet, not for a screenshot
Every pillar below is something the platform is designed around, not a marketing category retrofitted onto a feature list.
Desired state, not manual state
You declare what a server should be running. xPanel reconciles reality against that declaration, detects drift and remediates it, instead of relying on someone remembering what they changed.
Evidence for every action
Autonomy operations are recorded in a hash-chained evidence ledger with request, plan, verification and outcome data. The console verifies chain integrity so tampering or a broken predecessor link is visible.
Fleet-first
One server or two hundred is the same workflow. Policies, runtimes, backups and security baselines apply across the estate rather than being reapplied per machine.
Portability is explicit
xPanel can export a checksummed declarative capsule describing runtime, DNS, cron and secret references. Full data-moving capsule import remains beta/in build and is labelled accordingly.
What runs today, honestly labelled
We publish what is not finished. Every capability below carries its real state — Live, Beta or In build — so you can plan around what actually works rather than what is promised.
Site, database and mailbox management
Full lifecycle management for sites, databases, mailboxes, cron jobs and DNS records from one interface.
Automated TLS
Certificate issuance, installation and renewal handled without operator involvement.
Staging environments
Clone production into staging, work safely, and promote changes back.
Backups and restore
On-demand site + owned-database backups, self-service restore and shared-hosting retention automation. The current xPanel backup store is node-local; independent off-site backup is a separate release gate.
Mail stack with authentication
Mailbox lifecycle, IMAP/SMTP service and generated SPF, DKIM and DMARC guidance. xPanel does not currently ship a separate webmail client.
Resource quotas
Per-site disk and inode quotas plus PHP-FPM worker and memory controls, enforced by xPanel account boundaries.
Multi-server fleet view
Register many nodes and operate them as one estate with health, capacity and drift visible per node.
Desired-state reconciliation
Continuous comparison of declared state against actual state, with remediation actions.
Signed webhooks and evidence ledger
Webhook deliveries are HMAC-signed; autonomy evidence is hash-chained and integrity-checked. These are distinct mechanisms rather than a claimed cryptographic signature on every ledger row.
Reseller and tenancy structures
Sub-accounts, quotas and branding for providers selling under their own name.
Portable capsules
Checksummed declarative capsule export/diff is available; import currently plans supported runtime/DNS/cron steps and full workload-data transfer is still being completed.
Autopilot remediation
Automatic response to predictable failures — disk pressure, certificate failures, service restarts — under policy.
Licensing for third-party providers
Run xPanel on infrastructure that is not ours, under licence.
Marketplace applications
One-click deployment of packaged applications maintained as capsules.
Declare → Reconcile → Evidence
The loop that underpins everything xPanel does, from a single certificate renewal to an estate-wide policy rollout.
Declare
You describe the state a site, node or fleet should be in: runtime, backups, TLS, quotas, security baseline.
Reconcile
xPanel continuously compares declared state against actual state, flags drift, and applies corrective action under policy.
Evidence
Operational evidence is hash-chained and integrity-checked so historical changes are detectable; signed webhooks use a separate HMAC mechanism.
Who xPanel is for
For Website Owners
Run your site without running a server.
For Developers
A panel that does not fight your workflow.
For Agencies
Client sites, cleanly separated.
For Hosting Companies
The panel is part of the platform, not a licence line item.
For Cloud Providers
Operate an estate as a system, not as machines.
