What Off-site Backup gives you
Separate failure domain
Copies live in a different data centre region from the server they protect, so a disk, server or site-level failure can't take them with it.
Nightly, automatic
Archive, upload, prune — every night at 03:17 server time. Nothing to remember, and a panel shows the last run and result.
Restore even after disk loss
If the local copy is gone, the restore fetches the archive back from off-site storage first. Restores take a safety backup before replacing anything.
Backup-safe keys
Each site uses its own storage bucket with its own key. A compromised website can't read another site's backups.
